New Year's Eve 2012

New Year's Eve was a bit of a mixed bag. Arkham Horror is a fun game, but people had a hard time following the game's complicated rules. Still, some fun moments were had before we decided to call it quits and commence with more enthusiastic drinking and celebrating the impending new year.

I am pretty impressed with my camera's ability to capture some of the following images at ISO 12800 in particularly dark (and cold!) conditions. I'm still learning to use it, but it's been pretty great so far. I've already sold my old Canon Rebel XS and am ready to continue to invest in this profession after I've saved a bit more money.

The gallery to the right showcases some of the photos from the evening. I'll post the rest to Facebook I suppose, since the files (15 mb+) are too large to upload to a Squarespace site, which is kind of lame. First world problems, I know.
