In 2015, I worked as the cinematographer on an exciting new project called, "The Index." The Index was created by director/writer Rustin L Odom and explores the concept: what if we could alter reality just like hacking a computer? The final versions of 53, as well as a second short, Cause and No Effect, were screened at the new Sun Studios of Arizona in the fall of last year! You can find out more about The Index on Facebook, and follow the project on Twitter.
This gallery is of pictures I took almost a year ago, when six of my friends and I visited Martinique by way of Boston. Minus some really nice engagement photos I took of two of my friends, these are the photos that comprise the entirety of the trip, from Boston, where we spent two nights in the surprisingly warm (well, the second day anyway) weather, to Martinique, where we enjoyed everything this tropical Caribbean island had to offer.
I purchased a Sony FS7 camera in June and have been putting it through its paces ever since on a handful of projects. I've worked with a lot of new filmmakers this year, and also continued to work with some familiar faces. I have recommitted myself to filmmaking as my passion, and, quite obviously, buying a new camera was a part of that. Not only did I want a video camera that was designed purposefully for video, as opposed to the photography centric Canon 5D Mark III, I figured it would be a good idea to future proof the purchase with 4K capability up to 60p and slow motion in HD up to 180 frames per second.
