Bon Voyage Martinique

This gallery is of pictures I took almost a year ago, when six of my friends and I visited Martinique by way of Boston. Minus some really nice engagement photos I took of two of my friends, these are the photos that comprise the entirety of the trip, from Boston, where we spent two nights in the surprisingly warm (well, the second day anyway) weather, to Martinique, where we enjoyed everything this tropical Caribbean island had to offer.

Update on 2015 Film Projects

I purchased a Sony FS7 camera in June and have been putting it through its paces ever since on a handful of projects. I've worked with a lot of new filmmakers this year, and also continued to work with some familiar faces. I have recommitted myself to filmmaking as my passion, and, quite obviously, buying a new camera was a part of that. Not only did I want a video camera that was designed purposefully for video, as opposed to the photography centric Canon 5D Mark III, I figured it would be a good idea to future proof the purchase with 4K capability up to 60p and slow motion in HD up to 180 frames per second.

Tilta DSLR Shoulder Rig Review

I've been meaning to review Tilta's DSLR shoulder pad and baseplate, along with their follow focus, and handles, for some time now. I didn't get to use this gear until my last short film project, Smiling. While there are definitely some downsides to using this fairly affordable, yet generally high quality Chinese-made shoulder rig setup, I'm very pleased with this purchase overall.
